在7月至8月期间，我们对北京的5G网络进行了初步测试。然而，在4款5G手机已经正式发布的情况下，寻找一个稳定、可靠的5G覆盖点并不是一件容易的事。为了抢先体验5G网络，记者们不得不遍地寻找优质的“5G测试点”。那么，让我们将目光转向国外，已经在上半年正式进入5G时代的韩国，又是如何呢？在最近对三星韩国总部进行访问时，我们通过Galaxy S10+ 5G版本进行了一次体验。
韩国早在今年4月初，就推出了商用5G网络。而截至目前，据报道韩国的5G用户已经突破200万人，其中SKT运营商的用户数量就超过了百万。
目前韩国市场上的主要5G手机包括三星Galaxy S10+ 5G、LG V50 ThinQ和三星Galaxy Note 10+ 5G等几款机型，其中最早上市的是Galaxy S10+ 6月份即宣告销量破百万。
我们的测试中使用的是SKT提供的Galaxy S10+ 5GBased on the video footage taken from New Seoul Hotel to Myeong-dong, we can see that while occasional "false" tests occurred (speed was only at a level of LTE), these were exceptions. The majority of testing points in Seoul provided almost seamless coverage for the test subject.
We also experienced the battery life of Galaxy S10+, which lasted for approximately half a day with normal use and dropped to around 40% after five hours. This suggests that the phone's large battery played an important role in its longevity.
After experiencing Korea's 5GBased on our observations, I would like to caution those eager to experience China's upcoming commercialization of this technology. Even if you manage to secure one of the first available devices, it is essential not to set your expectations too high immediately. Rome wasn't built overnight, and neither will be China's comprehensive implementation of reliable and efficient 3rd generation wireless network service – simply put: patience is required when waiting for something as groundbreaking as this technology rollout process
